April Lerner

ALResearch Analyst

April Lerner joined Global Fund Exchange in 2008 as a research analyst specializing in global energy including climate change, water, agriculture, energy technology and environmental policy research to support Global Fund Exchange's macro investment focus on "People, Planet and Profit."  Her research contributes to the monthly company newsletter and the Future of Energy blog.  Ms. Lerner also serves as the liaison between Global Fund Exchange and the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI), which Global Fund Exchange joined as a signatory in 2009.

Ms. Lerner has a B.A. from Amherst College where she graduated magna cum laude.  Ms. Lerner's study of energy and environmental economics culminated in a senior honors thesis examining renewable energy in the United States.  Her thesis project earned departmental magna honors and was recognized with the Prize for American Studies awarded by the faculty of Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan.

Prior to joining Global Fund Exchange, Ms. Lerner worked with U.N. NGO Sustainability, a United Nations-recognized organization focused on the promotion of clean energy and sustainable development.
